Donna M. Thompson, DDS
Dr. Donna M. Thompson has been practicing dentistry in the Farmington, NM and surrounding areas since 1978. With over 40 years as an experienced dentist, she received her Degree in Dental Surgery from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Mexico Dental Association, as well as the local Northwest District Dental Society and is committed to continuing education. She is also a past president of the Northwest District Dental Society. During her leisure time, Dr. Donna enjoys numerous outdoor activities, but she has a special passion for mountain biking and road biking. Dr. Donna has participated in many bike tours and races, including 100 mile courses! She also loves alpine skiing at Durango Mountain Resort.
Dr. Donna Thompson is committed to serving her community. She loves to volunteer her time at dental mission events (NM Mission of Mercy) and the local Give Kids a Smile event each February. She also supports the NM Dental Association Foundation and participates in Donated Dental Services.
Jennifer L. Thompson, DDS
Dr. Jennifer L. Thompson earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Duke University in 2004. She received her degree in Biomedical Engineering and graduated with the distinctions of summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. After college, she attended the University Of North Carolina School Of Dentistry and was awarded a Degree in Dental Surgery with Honors. Dr. Jennifer enthusiastically joined her mother's practice in 2008, where she merged her familiarity with the latest techniques in dentistry with the depth of Dr. Donna’s experience. Together, our well-qualified team provides exceptional and compassionate care to patients throughout the Four Corners.
As a member of the ADA, NMDA, and NW District Dental Society, Dr. Jennifer Thompson has been very active in the Dental Society since moving back home to Farmington. She has held officer positions for the past 10 years, including twice serving as the NWDDS President. She has also volunteered at the state association level and is currently serving as the New Mexico Dental Association President. Dr. Jennifer also firmly believes in helping her community and serving others. She served as the San Juan County Mission of Mercy fundraising chair and helped organize the event in September 2013. She also plans to chair the Mission of Mercy event when it returns to Farmington in 2021. Dr. Jennifer is committed to continually advancing her skills and knowledge and is a member of the SPEAR Study Club.
Both Dr. Donna and Dr. Jennifer volunteer for other NM MOM events, as well as the annual Give Kids a Smile event each February. She contributes to the NM Dental Association Foundation and participates in Donated Dental Services.
